In 2012, co-founders Ryan and Joan visited an elephant sanctuary in Chang Mai, Thailand. Viewing these incredible creatures was humbling. The truth about the rapidly declining population of elephants worldwide was staggering. The adverse affects of poaching, negative human interaction, and loss of natural habit could drive them to extinction completely.
